My Maiden Post
Hi!

My first post on this blog! Wowww.
I'm excited already.

I'm crazy about art, & have been since I could hold a pencil. Ok... Let's address this in a nice orderly fashion. Kinda like how they ask you to get off a plane.

1. Why did I make this blog?
Great question, myself. I recently met a fashion/travel/beauty blogger (who I will be linking later) and her blog inspired me to do something about ma grande passion, which is art.

I love all things artsy fartsy. Not the pretentious kind where someone puts a plunger in a red toilet bowl and sells it for $2mil. More like individualistic art, art with meaning, art that doesn't conform.

Another thing is that I draw a lot, and I want to show people. I basically have a dozen sketchbooks lying around doing nothing. Gotta put these lazy sketchbooks to work! Sending pics to people via WhatsApp (miracle app) is no longer an option for me. :/

And hence, this blog came to life.

2. Why did I name it "To Make Art Not War"?
Another great question asked by.. me. I was thinking of a name that would reflect what I wanted out of this blog. And well, you know how the world is all rife with war and violence and uncoolness.

Why not make a blog to counter that sentiment?

I thought it was a really cool name, and so I got the domain, made the email, blah blah.. Imagine how I felt when I finally googled it and found out there are like.. T-SHIRTS all over the net with the same words.

Oh My Lampshade. Are you serious.

Oh well. Please know I have no affiliation to them. But I would love to! *cue blatant advertising pleas*

3. Who is this blog for?
It's for anyone and everyone who likes to just look at and read about art stuff. I tried to find an art blog that didn't just offer opinions and critique about famous people's art. Couldn't really find one that caught my fancy, so I figured I'd just make my own (praise the Lord, Blogger is free).

I would love for this blog to be a place where people can share and appreciate art. I'd rather have people do that than make war (y)

So that's about it. In the next few days/weeks/months/years, I will be posting lotsa nice things, like art work (be it my own or someone else's), product reviews and drawing tips when using different media!

Ooh I'm excited already. :)
